nice view in the backyard.
it´s not a resort - it´s more as a motel - a very expensiv motel!!!!
Very clean rooms and friendly helpfull staff.
Only downside they didnm't have a fridge in the room for drinks.
The owners (who also staff the receptionist desk) are pleasant and were quick to respond to guest requests. For example, a problem with our toilet was attended to immediately.
The housecleaning staff were less than thorough. The coffee pot wasn't washed once during our entire 3 day stay, nor was the shower cleaned. Also, some furnishings in the unit are broken and really need to be replaced, eg. the blinds on the front window and the very rickety round table next to this window. Meanwhile, the outside sitting area near the dock probably hasn't been cleaned in months.
The restroom was clean.
First, the hotel was impossible to find since the name Keys Lodge and Boat Docks doesn´t exist. No one knew the hotel by this name. Instead, you will find the name Keys Motel. When we arrive thereno one was there. It looked like an abandoned motel. The photos that are in bookings site are deceiving. You won´t find those rooms at all. In our room the sheet and the cover had holes. They don´t have internet.
The room was great and the location was in the middle of all the things I wanted to do. Snorkeling at John Pennekamp was right down the road, grocery store and movies within a mile, drinks at RumRunners-Islamorada at the end of the day.
The condition of the outside of the buidling was a little rough. Pulling in I was undecided about staying, but once seeing the room it was a no-brainer. We stayed.
The place was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and energetic; the room was rather large, with a completely modernized bathroom with tiled walk-in shower, new pedestal sink. The location was perfect... Just a mile from groceries, cvs, McDonald's, and right across the street from the marina where some of us went diving and a short, scenic drive to Key West, along which are found (many are close by) specialty shops and restaurants. We did not get to try the Whale Harbor seafood buffet, but don't miss the Tower of Pizza (10600 Overseas Hwy, anything Italian, not just pizza, and we got a whole key lime pie cheap). The room had a front door opened onto the parking lot and a rear door opened onto a nice, creekside patio, partly covered, with chairs and table. The pool was small but very nice. If I am ever in Key Largo or nearby again I will definitely stay here and I highly recommend it to anyone else. The atmosphere was perfect, and even though it is "on the road" it is set back and separated from the actual road by a side road, and plenty of bushes hide the parking lot and block out traffic noise.
They only thing lacking was a darker curtain or something to cover the window at night, but even so, we did not have any trouble sleeping.
The price was the main reason why we selected to stay there, location is also good and it was a really quiet place. The only comment I have to make is that they should have checked the room for dirty towels to be removed as they said they would if left in the shower floor. Ours stayed there until we left, though we only spent 2 days.
Cleanlines and location
No phone in room
Nothing special I like to mention.
At 19.30 nobody at the reception and office closed already when we arrived! Hairdryer available at reception and not in room, no on chairs at balcony, this combined with the 142 dollars we paid without breakfast made this hotel our least value for money!
Nice quite location on a canal that opened up to the Atlantic. Great spot to stay if you have a boat.
friendly helpful staff and economical
We had to check out a day early because of an illness in the family. Creekside Inn would not refund us for the last day even though we checked out before 11:00 am. I will never stay there again. Nor will I recommend them to anyone.
Old furniture. Much too expensive for the sandard you get.
I wo't recommend this hotel to anyone.
Bathroom was very clean.
The mattresses had stains on them, the head boards were not clean, had dust and were sticky, had to clean with alcohol. No iron and ironing board in room yet they had a microwave and wifi. Had to ask for an iron which was broken and had to keep plugging it into the outlet in order to keep it hot. Door had a chain lock on it, but the door didn't close all the way which left the door cracked open to outside. This was in room # 2. Previous room #18, when we entered and attempted to close the vertical blinds. One plopped down to the floor. Asked for room change.
